HSFR/HFG produced the Tena Medhin (Health Insurance) music video in collaboration with the Ethiopian Health Insurance Agency to promote the country’s community-based health insurance (CBHI) program. In the video, a father remembers a time when he had to sell his only ox in order to help pay for his sick son to see a health care provider. When CBHI was introduced, the father was amongst the first to enroll his family. Doing so improved his family’s ability to access and afford health services. Images show the father and his family, as well as other CBHI members, happy to be enrolled in the program, dancing, and showing their green CBHI membership cards to others in the community. The video is aired on Ethiopian television.
