HFG’s project partners have on-the-ground presence in 96 countries, which has enabled activities to be launched quickly worldwide. HFG is at work in 14 countries—Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Burundi, Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Haiti, India, Lesotho, Namibia, Nigeria, Swaziland, Tanzania, and Ukraine. The HFG project has opened country offices in Cote d’Ivoire, Haiti, India, and Nigeria.
In an embassy announcement about the opening of the HFG office in Cote d’Ivoire, Valerie Koscelnik, the USAID/PEPFAR Country Program Manager, said “The HFG program represents a valuable collaboration between public and private partners to improve the strength of the health care system in Cote d’Ivoire. Through this program we will be able to help expand access to health care and better focus on diseases such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. To do this, we will work together with the government to see that the Ivoirian health care system is well-managed with greater accountability and transparency. These improvements, in turn, will help Cote d’Ivoire advance towards eligibility for Millennium Challenge Corporation funding.”
